Certified Welding Inspector
Location: Ruston, LA

Pay: From 65k Salary+ DOE

We are looking to hire a Certified Welding Inspector. This role supports quality performance and continuous improvement across production and fabrication processes. If you have welding/fabrication experience and a passion for quality standards, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead quality improvements across production and fabrication operations
- Coach, train, and certify welders; maintain welder continuity records
- Write ASME welding procedures and oversee qualification requirements
- Collaborate with Engineering to document procedures and define welding standards
- Perform in-process and final product inspections
- Develop and track KPIs, quality plans, and inspection documentation
- Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective action plans
- Support supplier quality inspections and data-driven quality decisions
- Ensure compliance with customer specs, internal standards, and industry codes
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) required
- Level II Liquid Penetrant Certified or willing to obtain within 1 year
- 5+ years of welding and fabrication experience
- 3+ years in a QA/QC role in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of AWS, ASME, API, and NBIC weld standards
- Ability to interpret drawings, specs, and identify non-conforming products
- Proven experience in root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Excellent communication, documentation, and team collaboration skills
Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing environment; exposure to machinery, fumes, and moderate noise
- Work is performed in a non-climate-controlled shop setting
- Must be able to work around equipment and perform physical inspections
